The mid-season spring sales begin in Greece on May 2 and end on May 10, with shops allowed to stay open for one Sunday during that time on a recommended schedule of 10:00-18:00, ANA reports.
In a statement to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency’s radio station Praktoreio 104.9 FM, Kosmas Kalogiannis, the first vice president of the Thessaloniki Trade Union, noted that the demand is expected to be strong. However, he said that he is in favour of the abolition of the “mid-season sales” because the repeated discounts confuse the consumers.
