Stiff penalties for violators of measures against COVID-19 in Greece

Areios Paghos (Supreme Court) prosecutor Vassilis Pliotas on Thursday sent a circular to all prosecutors in Greece asking them to immediately intervene when there is any violation of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, ANA reports.

Pliotas noted that article 285 of the Penal Code foresees stiff penalties for those who violate the measures ordered to prevent the spread of a dangerous disease.
