No US import duty on Greek feta cheese

Feta, the characteristic cheese product of Greece, will continue to enjoy no import duties in the United States, the Agricultural Development & Foods Ministry said on Wednesday, following the recovation of a decision that would have added a 9.6% levy on the product, ANA reports.

According to the ministry, the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) notified the Greek embassy in Washington, after a query, that the intention of reclassifying customs duties on imported sheep-originating cheese to the United States would be revoked.
