International air arrivals at Nikos Kazantzakis Airport exceeded 4 million (4.05 million) during the twelve months of 2025, recording an increase of 6.5% compared to 2024 levels.
An increase was also recorded in domestic arrivals, which reached 930,956 (+10%), bringing total arrivals at the airport last year to just under 5 million (4.99 million), while total passenger traffic surpassed 10 million.
December closed with a 208% increase in international arrivals, i.e. 7,635 more than in December 2024, reaching 11,294. In domestic traffic, arrivals totaled 75,212, up 8.1% compared to the same month in 2024.
The total number of passengers arriving at Heraklion Airport in December amounted to 86,565.
Most international arrivals in December came from Germany (3,575), the Netherlands (2,165), Albania (1,645), Cyprus (1,606), and the Czech Republic (1,132).
