Longitours Oy, a subsidiary of major Russian tour operator Pegas Touristik in the Scandinavian countries, announced the suspension of its operations as of December 31, 2025.
Longitours was founded in 2022 in Helsinki and operated as a tour operator and online travel agent in Finland and Sweden. However, after three years of activity, it has brought its ambitious effort to establish a presence in the Northern European markets to an end.
The company targeted demanding Scandinavian travelers, offering tailor-made holiday packages, charter flights, city breaks, and luxury travel to destinations such as Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Thailand, Georgia, the UAE, Egypt, Tunisia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the Maldives.
Unfortunately, not all journeys last forever, the company said in a brief message posted on social media announcing the closure. The message was accompanied by wishes for sunny travels and a happy 2026, without providing further details on the reasons behind the decision.
Longitours was established in 2022 with headquarters in Helsinki. From June 2023, the online booking platform longitours.fi went live, followed by longitours.se as part of its expansion into the Swedish market. The company held travel guarantees from both the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority and Swedens Kammarkollegiet, strengthening its credibility in a strictly regulated market.
When launched, Longitours.com was presented as a dynamic, modern tour operator and OTA aiming to change the way Scandinavians organize their travel, offering personalized services through partnerships with experienced market players active since the 1990s, as well as an exclusive collaboration with HolidayBest Limited (UK). There were also plans for further expansion into Norway and Denmark during 2025.
