The Greek-German Representative Assembly, a local-government collaboration between Greece and Germany that has been meeting since 2011, opened this yea’s session in the northeastern city of Drama on Wednesday, ANA reports.
Germany’s envoy to the Assembly Hans-Joachim Fuchtel, a deputy minister of economic cooperation and development, left urgently following developments in the formation of the new German government. Germany’s consul general in Thessaloniki, Walter Stechel, attended the meeting.
The Assembly convenes once a year, rotating between Greece and Germany.
