The Greek tourism ministry is currently working on a proposal for a safe entry protocol for tourists coming to Greece, once the arrival of tourists is permitted, Deputy Tourism Minister Manos Konsolas revealed during an online TV programme devoted to tourism, held on Sunday night, according to ANA.
He forecast that the tourism industry will “restart” in 2021 and that the ministry was working out a plan for “repackaging” Greece’s tourism product under the new conditions.
Konsolas also referred to a safety net that was being put in place for all tourism activity, such as reducing taxation rates, and unveiled that announcements will be made soon.
He also suggested that the development of theme tourism could be a way forward, as well as establishing Greece as an international centre for tourism education and training.
