The United Kingdom government’s Foreign Office launched an information campaign to support and advise British nationals living in Greece on steps to protect their rights after the Brexit transition period ends on 31 December, as part of a wider effort addressed to more than a million nationals across the European Union, ANA reports.
As part of its support, the Foreign Office noted in a statement on Friday it will also “offer assistance to those UK nationals who may struggle to complete residency or registration applications through a 3-million-pound support fund.”
“UK nationals living in Greece will receive information about specific actions they need to take to keep their rights and access to services in Greece,” it said and will use several channels – including Facebook, digital media and Greek newspaper ads – urging people to act and protect their rights in Europe.
