Greece has assumed a series of initiatives to strengthen its relations with France and with the Francophonie, diplomatic sources said on the occasion of the International Francophonie Day on March 20, ANA reports.
Greece became a member of the International Francophonie Organisation in 2004.
Speaking in parliament on the Foreign Ministry’s new organization, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stressed that the French language will become again mandatory language for those that want to join the diplomatic body adding that this decision is not coincidental but reflects a specific policy.
