The Greek state budget recorded a primary surplus of 2.33 billion euros in the January-November period, from a primary surplus of 3.57 billion euros in the same period last year, according to the Bank of Greece.
The central government cash balance showed a deficit of 1.373 billion euros, compared to a deficit of 1.423 billion euros in the same period of 2016.
During this period, ordinary budget revenue grew to 43.167 billion euros, compared to 43.584 billion euros in the corresponding period of last year. Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about 1.896 billion euros for the repayment of arrears (compared to 3.380 billion euros last year), amounted to 46.222 billion euros, from 44.826 billion euros in January-November 2016.
