Positive balance of recruitment-withdrawals in Greek private sector thanks to tourism

In April, the balance of recruitment-withdrawals in the private sector was positive, by 100,246 jobs, according to data recorded by “ERGANI” information system. The rate of recruitment, with full-time employment, grew and reached 55.6%. More specifically, according to the data on paid employment flows in April 2018, 268,072 employees were recruited and 167,826 employees withdrew.

According to an announcement by the Labor Ministry, the positive balance (by 155,826 jobs) in the period January-April 2018 was a record high, as it is the highest balance for the first four-month period recorded after 2001.
