Greek port of Piraeus rises to 32nd place globally in 2018 for container transport

Greek port of Piraeus moved up six positions on the global list for 2018 in terms of container transport, according to figures released by Alphaliner, naftemporiki.gr reports.

Specifically, 4.91 million TEUs passed through Greece’s largest port last year, up from 4.15 million TEUs in the year before, a performance that brought the Cosco-managed port authority to 32nd place worldwide.
