Greek Parliament approves 2020 State budget after five-day debate

The 2020 State budget was approved by the Parliament with 158 MPs voting “yes” and 139 MPs voting “no”, following a five-day debate, which ended on Wednesday night with the roll-call vote, int.ert.gr reports.

In his speech, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted this year’s budget contains no surprises but outlines the policies for which the government received the confidence of the Greek people and at the same time announced the reduction of the solidarity levy on pay as of 2020.
