The implementation of an innovative “Astrotourism” program, which focuses on tourism products aimed at stargazers, has started in Cyprus and is expected to be completed in three years, CNA reports.
According to a relevant press statement the project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Republic of Cyprus, through Research and Innovation Foundation.
The outcome of the relevant research will be used in order to develop a new and sustainable special interest form of tourism in Cyprus.
