“Today, new economic support measures will be announced,” Labour and Social Affairs Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said on Wednesday in an interview with public broadcaster ERT, according to ANA.
Hatzidakis said that the financial support given to address the repercussions of the pandemic is important, noting that the labour ministry alone has so far given 3.5 billion euros to workers and the unemployed. Among others, he announced in advance that unemployment benefits that are due to expire will be extended by two months.
