Greece's Public Power Corporation returned to profitability in 2020

Greece’s Public Power Corporation on Tuesday reported pre-tax profits of 67 million euros in 2020, from a loss of 2.05 billion in the previous year, ANA reports.

PPC said its operating profits more than doubled to 886 million euros, surpassing the initial goal of 650 million euros, despite a decline in electricity demand and a decline in PPC’s market share. The electricity utility’s debt dropped to 3.28 billion euros, down 400 million from the former year.
