Sources: Greece does not welcome suspects in coup attempts

“Greece has a responsibility. We respect the international treaties to protect the rights, but that does not mean that we welcome people suspected of having participated in a coup d’ etat attempt. These people are not welcome. The Greek justice is now responsible for this case,” according to government sources, ANA reports.

Referring to the issue of the name of FYROM, the same source said: “In national matters, the country has and must have continuity and that the 2017 line can now be justified. On a subject that has been pending for 25 years, nobody is entitled to hide and behave based on party interests, ” the source concluded.

Turkey is one of the main Mediterranean competitors of the Greek tourism industry and has been hit strongly by terrorism and political instability culminating in numerous coup attempts during recent years.
