EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier, is in Athens since yesterday, Monday 20, 2019, according to int.ert.gr
Immediately after his arrival in Athens, Mr. Barnier met with the President of the Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
Mr. Pavlopoulos praised the position assumed by the European Commissioner on the sovereignty of the Republic of Cyprus, especially on the issue related to Cyprus’ EEZ.
For his part, Mr. Barnier thanked Mr Pavlopoulos for the meeting and underlined, among other things, that Brexit’s dossier is extremely complex.
