Athens assesses positively the visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to Greece, last Saturday, int.ert.gr reports.
The central point of Pompeo’s visit was the signing of the amended Defense Cooperation Agreement between the two countries, which marks the further upgrade of bilateral relations along with the expansion of strategic dialogue.
In an interview at ERT, the chief of US diplomacy sent another strong message to Turkey regarding its provocative actions in the Aegean and the Cypriot EEZ and publicly stated that Ankara would not be allowed to conduct illegal actions.
Nicosia also expressed its satisfaction regarding Pompeo’s statements.
