European Commission Vice President Margaritis Schinas and Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson met “in a constructive round of talks” with Turkey’s leadership on Friday, to discuss the migration issue, according to ANA.
Schinas and Johansson announced in a joint statement they met in Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Vice President Fuat Oktay, Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister and Director for EU Affairs Faruk Kaymakcı, as well as Deputy Speaker of the Turkish parliament, CHP Ankara MP Levent Gok.
