Athens regards as a positive step, Turkey’s decision to freeze hydrocarbon exploration in the eastern Aegean, int.ert.gr reports.
Presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin announced that Ankara was ready for a constructive dialogue. However, Greek forces remain alert and vigilant. The delimitation of the sea zones is our only difference, reiterated the Greek government spokesman, Stelios Petsas.
For his part, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias reiterated Athens’ clear position that any attempt at blackmail by Turkey will fall on deaf ears, noting that Greece does not negotiate under pressure.
