Migration is a “deeply European” problem and “European solidarity must not be restricted to financing the state-of-the-art facility we will visit next but must lead to a common migration and asylum pact which will fairly share the burden of managing a complex problem that concerns Europe as a whole,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday said from Samos island, where he is visiting the Closed Controlled Facility for the reception of asylum-seekers, in the location known as “Zervou”, ANA reports.
As the prime minister noted in his statements, he has explained to the partners in the EU but also to many international forums that the migration issue is not a Greek problem, but “deeply European”.
