Lufthansa airlines on Tuesday marked its 60-year presence in Greece with a special event at the historic Benizelos Mansion in Plaka, ANA reports.
During the event, co-organized with Athens International Airport, the company presented key milestones and the most significant achievements of the last six decades of its activity in Greece.
The German airline reached a passenger number record in 2018, carrying nearly 2.7 million passengers to and from Greece, 18 pct more passengers than in 2017, and also held a record in the number of passengers carried in Europe overall, with 142 million.
