Greek Civil Aviation Authority extends notams until 6 – 8 November 2020

 Greece’s Civil Aviation Authority has extended the Notams until Friday 6 and Sunday 8 November 2020 with the aim of protecting passengers and citizens from the COVID-19 pandemic.

   Specifically:

   * It is announced an extension until midnight on Friday, November 6, 2020, of the air instructions regarding passenger flight restrictions, to and from the airports of “Filippos” in Kozani and “Aristotelis” in Kastoria.
   * The air instructions regarding the suspension of flights between Greece and Turkey and between Greece and the region of Catalonia in Spain are extended until 8/11/2020 at midnight.
   * The air directive is extended, until 8/11/20, which provides that all flights to and from Greece, from Albania and North Macedonia, will be operated only at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” AIA.
   * Also extended until Sunday 8 November 2020 the notam which provides that those traveling to Greece by air connection from Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Belgium, Spain, Albania and North Macedonia ( 11 countries), will enter our country only with a negative Covid-19 test which will have been performed up to 72 hours before their arrival, while they will also undergo sampling tests, according to the instructions of the Civil Protection and EODY.
   * At the same time, the aviation directive is extended, until 8/11/2020, which provides for a ban on entry into the country of non-European citizens. Citizens and permanent residents of the following 9 countries are excluded from this: Singapore, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Uruguay and the United Arab Emirates. Random tests will be carried out at the airport. 
   * Regarding the air directive for permanent residents from Israel, it is also extended until November 8 at midnight and provides that those traveling to Greece by air connection from Israel will enter our country only with a negative Covid-19 test which will have been conducted with the PCR method up to 72 hours before their arrival. Also, the permanent residents of Israel who come to Greece will be subjected again to sampling tests for covid-19, while the maximum entry limit of 10,000 travelers per week from Israel to all airports in Greece remains.
* Extension until November 8, 2020 is also announced for the aviation directive for Russia (permanent residents), which provides entry only with a negative test covid-19, which will be performed by the PCR method up to 72 hours before their arrival at airports Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion, as well as a maximum of 500 passengers per week.
   * Finally, the Civil Aviation Service (CAA) informs about the extension until 8/11/2020 of the mandatory completion of the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) at the electronic address https://travel.gov.gr/ by all passengers international flights to Greece.
