In a reception stressed the National Day of Spain at a central Athens hotel on Thursday, Spanish Ambassador to Greece Enrique Viguera highlighted the excellent relations between Greece and Spain, noting that, as southern Mediterranean states, they “not only share equal political values and principles but also common economic and social interests,” ANA reports.
The ambassador also highlighted Spain’s low crime rates, the second-best in the EU, and its top position as the best country in the world to travel alone, with no companion, in the US New Best Country Rankings.
