Revenue from tourism in Cyprus rose to €428.2 mln in August 2018 compared to €423.6 mln in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 1.1%.
On the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, announced Friday by the Statistical Service, for the period of January – August 2018 revenue from tourism is calculated at €1,889.7 mln compared to €1,845.7 mln in the corresponding period of 2017, recording an increase of 2.4%.
The expenditure per person for August 2018 reached €800.65 compared to €809.01 in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 1%. The expenditure per person/per day for August 2018 compared to August 2017 also recorded a drop of 1% (from €78.54 to €77.73). The average length of stay remained the same as last year (10.3 days).
