Greece launches weather online app for national road network

The Athens National Observatory launched a useful consumer internet service on Friday called ROADS, greekcitytimes.com reports.

The application gives users access to weather forecasts for the immediate next three days likely to prevail anywhere on Greece’s national road network.

Road with green colour means the weather conditions will be good, the blue colour when rain is expected to fall, cyan means there will be sleet and violet when snowfall is projected.

The application was developed in collaboration with Interamerican’s Anytime company.

Meteo.gr also offers current forecasts maps including sailing maps, dust maps, beaches maps, wave maps and UV maps, which are all helpful while travelling around the country.

The service is available on the website meteo.gr
