Greek state bond yields dropped sharply in the domestic electronic secondary bond market on Thursday following news that the European Central Bank began its asset purchase programme worth 750 billion euros. The 10-year benchmark bond yield fell to 1.93 pct, falling 50 basis points from Tuesday, according to ANA.
ECB announced that its asset purchase programme will cover securities maturing in a period of at least 70 days, instead of at least 12 months as in its previous programme.
