Shipping and Island Policy Minister: Greece offers to help open the Suez Canal

Greece’s Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry offered assistance from the first moment to Egypt and in cooperation with the Tugboat Owners Association, Minister Giannis Plakiotakis stated on Sunday referring to the attempt to detach the stranded Ever Given ship in Suez Canal, according to ANA.

We wanted to emphasize in this way that we are available and ready to offer assistance both in terms of towing and dredging, Plakiotakis said talking about a “huge problem.”
