Last Monday December 11, 2017, the “19th Annual Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum” concluded with an Official Dinner presenting the “2017 Hellenic Capital Link Leadership Award”.
The keynote Speaker at the event was Jonathan R. Cohen, Deputy Assistant Secretary European and Eurasian Affairs U.S. Department of State while Dimitris Papadimitriou, Greek Minister of Economy and Development, also made brief remarks.
Haris Lalacos, Ambassador of Greece in the USA, presented the «2017 Hellenic Capital Link Leadership Award» to Andre Calantzopoulos, CEO – Philip Morris International honouring him for his exceptional contribution to Greece.
In the meanwhile, ANA reports that a joint Greek-U.S. committee tasked with working on economic and investment issues in Athens will include high-level Commerce Department officials who will participate through teleconference in its meetings, Economy Minister Dimitri Papadimitriou and the U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross agreed during in a meeting in Washington.
The meetings of this Economic Cooperation Committee are held between officials from the Greek economy ministry and the American embassy in Athens and discussed issues relating to investments and intellectual property rights (IPRs) and agreed to intensify the committee’s meetings, whose work has already started in Athens at a technical level.
Ross also repeated his intention to attend the opening of the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) in 2018 where the United States is the honourary country.
