The Hellenistic-Roman era ancient theatre of Lesvos island revived on Friday with the comedy of Aristophanes “Ornithes” (Birds) by Mytilene’s theatre group Commedia dell’ Arte, ANA reports.
The specific events are rare in the archaeological site of the Ancient theatre of Mytilene on the island which even if it is totally destroyed, with only exception some minor digs, it has never been systematically excavated.
