Greek police announced traffic restrictions in the centre of Athens on Tuesday, January 1, due to events to celebrate New Year’s Day, ANA reports.
Parking will be prohibited and roads closed to traffic from 6:00 until the end of the mass held for New Year at the Athens Cathedral along:
- – Mitropoleos Street
- – Aiolou Street, along the section between Andrianou and Ermou streets.
- – Ermou Street, in the section between Aiolou Street and Asomaton Square.
Parking will also be prohibited and roads closed from 6:00 on Tuesday until the end of celebrations at Presidential Mansion along:
- – Herodes Atticus Street.
- – King George II.
Police will also ban parking on the unnamed road leading from the Lycabettus District on the Lycabettus Hill, which will also be shut to traffic, from 12:00 on December 31, 2018 until 18:00 on January 1, 2019.
