The International Documentary Film Festival “Beyond Borders” that takes place in Kastellorizo prepares for its fourth summer and invites interested filmmakers to submit their films until May 15, 2019 at this address, int.ert.gr reports.

The invitation is addressed to Greek and foreign filmmakers whose work focuses on historical and socio-political issues. It is, furthermore, the festival’s axis, since it was established back in 2016 on the initiative of the Hellenic Institute of Historical Research and the support of the French Association Ecrans des Mondes. This year, the festival’s Jury President is the award-winning Australian documentary maker Nick Torrens. The jury gives out two awards, best historical documentary and best socio-political documentary. The awards are sponsored by the Hellenic Parliament.

The festival “Beyond Borders” takes place under the aegis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Municipality of Megisti and the support of the South Aegean Region and the General Secretariat of the Aegean and Island Policy, as well as entrepreneurs and media.
