Physics Nobel winner Mourou speaks at the Acropolis Museum in Athens

Nobel Prize winner in Physics Gerard Mourou spoke at the Acropolis Museum on Tuesday following an invitation by Alternate Research and Innovation Minister Costas Fotakis, an old friend and colleague, ANA reports.

The French scientist had earlier paid a visit to the Technology and Research Foundation, base of the national research infrastructure Hellas-CH, which is related to the Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) that Mourou inspired and coordinates. Hellas-CH provides ELI with technical know-how and services to ELI, and its projects include the restoration of cultural heritage objects such as objects from the Acropolis.
