The highly anticipated theatre production “I Want It All,” which is based on the life of famous Greek shipping merchant Aristotle Onassis, is set to premiere this week in Athens, featuring an all-star line-up of Greece’s top actors, greekcitytimes.com reports.
Starring and directing the play is Stamatis Fasoulis, who will take on the lead role as Aristotle Onassis. He will theatrically depict the character and actions of a man who was and still is referred to as one of the world’s richest and most famous men. The shipping magnate amassed his own privately owned shipping fleet and had a tumultuous career both professionally and personally.
Onassis was one of the most powerful men of the 20th century, fiercely sharp-minded, he clashed with the greatest economic and political interests of that time and his romances with some of the most famous emblematic women such as Tina Lebanon, Jackie Kennedy, and Maria Callas made worldwide headlines.
Playing the women in Aristotle’s love-life are Eugenia Dimitropoulou as Tina Livanos, Dimitra Matsouka as Jackie Kennedy and Katerina Papoutsakis as Maria Callas.
The life of Aristotle Onassis is one that has been recounted hundreds of times in publications, transcribed into movies and books, and now thanks to the mastermind of the talented Stamatis Fasoulis, the story will be told and played out on the stage of the Pallas Theatre in Athens from October 11.
