Egyptian Parliament Speaker condemns Turkish deal with Libyan government

The Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives, Ali Abdel Aal, as well as a number of Egyptian MPs, condemned the memoranda signed by Turkey and the head of the Tripoli government Fayez al-Sarraj, ANA reports.

“Egypt completely rejects the agreement between Al Sarraj of Libya and Turkey,” Abdel Aal noted, adding: “Egypt will not stand by without acting in the case that any foreign country could pose a threat to its western borders with Libya….Everyone who supposes that he can approach the land, sea or air borders in Egypt must think again. We will not allow or accept any tampering with our borders or near them.”
