Bears wake up from hibernation at Arcturos sanctuary in northern Greece

The waking of the bears as they come out of hibernation is the forerunner of spring at the Arcturos wildlife sanctuary in Nymfaio, northern Greece each year, ANA reports.

As the snows begin to thaw, the 14 bears at the sanctuary gradually emerge from their dens, with the youngest bears, which are already up and wandering about the compound, usually waking first.
