Australian runner wins Crete’s Half Marathon with new record

Australian athlete Humerloc Douglas won the Crete Half Marathon on Sunday breaking the record of the course with a time of 1 h, 11?, 48?.

The top woman was Greek athlete Eleftheria Petroulaki.

The Half Marathon, including 10km, 5km and 1km races, is an international event open to all and a unique opportunity for runners from Greece and abroad to take part in an ideal course.

It is a circle race in the center of Crete passing across some of the most wonderful villages of the municipality Minoa Pediadas and through olive groves and vineyards.
