Western Macedonia joins other Greek regions in the building up of a national network of film offices, it was announced on Thursday, according to ANA.
Attica, the Peloponnese, Central Macedonia, and Sterea Ellada (Central Greece) already have such regional offices.
The creation of a film office in this fifth region was finalised during Digital Policy, Media and Telecommunications Deputy Minister Lefteris Kretsos’ meeting with the regional governor of western Macedonia Theodoros Karypidis.
Members of the US film industry are expected to be given a tour of several parts of Greece in April, at Kretsos’ invitation, while members of the Greek Movie Industry will tour the former PPC plant in Ptolemaida.
