Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named NBA’s Most Valuable Player for the 2018-2019 season, thus leaving behind James Harden and Paul George, int.ert.gr reports.
Out of the 101 journalists who voted their five best players, 78 of them ranked him first, while the other 23 voted him in the second place, resulting in Giannis accumulating 77%.
Deeply moved and with tears in his eyes, and after having shown his jacket’s lining depicting the Acropolis, Giannis Antetokounmpo thanked his family, his team the Milwaukee Bucks, the Greeks, the Nigerians and his fans for their assistance which brought him to the top of the NBA.
