On Friday, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew appointed Bishop Iosif of Patara as the new Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Buenos Aires, Argentina, according to greekreporter.com.
The Argentine-born Joseph Bosch (who took the official name of Iosif) replaces the Metropolitan Tarasios of Buenos Aires. Tarasios had been elected Metropolitan of Rodopolis after the death of Metropolitan Ieronymos.
