The kidney dialysis unit that started operating on the Greek island of Santorini on Wednesday will end the hardship endured by the island’s 20 kidney patients, who until now had to be taken to Athens for treatment three times a week, stated Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias.
The minister said that the execution of the project had delayed in the last three years, in spite of the previous government’s announcements, and was now being delivered to kidney patients who lived on the island.
