“Conditions in Greece’s ski resorts are difficult,” a spokesperson of the Greek Ski Resorts Iraklis Lefoussis said on Tuesday in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency’s radio station “Praktoreio 104.9 FM”, ANA reports.
Lefoussis added that not a single ski resort will open for Christmas, something that translates into sizable annual turnover losses.
As he said, neighboring countries are also facing the same problem. Nevertheless, low temperatures in the northern borders have helped some countries operate the technical snow systems in order to attract visitors, particularly Greeks, that saw that there is no snow in Greece.”
