Catholic Church in Greece announces new archbishop for seat of Tinos island

Iosif Printesis, 51, was named the new Catholic Archbishop for the islands of Naxos, Tinos, Andros, and Mykonos, the Catholic Church in Greece announced on Monday, ANA reports.
Printesis is replacing Nikolaos Printesis, an unrelated namesake, who resigned when he reached 75 years of age, as required by Catholic protocol.
Iosif Printesis has served as a judge at the Secondary Ecclesiastical Court of Greece since 1997 and has been an ecclesiastical studies teacher at public schools since 2011.
