A memorandum of cooperation (MOC) for the promotion of military tourism was signed by the ministries of Defense, Culture, and Tourism in a special event held on Monday, ANA reports.
Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos, Culture & Sports Minister Lina Mendoni, and Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis agreed to coordinate actions for the promotion of military tourism in Greece, with the Athens War Museum in the center of these upcoming activities.
Military tourism is a relatively new but rapidly growing type of tourism internationally, and Greece has many such attractions, the ministry announcement elaborated, including locations where significant historical events have taken places, such as land and naval battles.
