Famous English actor, comedian, and screenwriter Rowan Atkinson, otherwise known as ‘Mr Bean’ has made Greece his first summer getaway for 2019, visiting Crete, the country’s largest island and one of the most popular destinations over the warmer months, greekcitytimes.com reports.
According to Ekriti.gr, Mr Bean checked into a hotel at Elounda Bay, which is a small town in Agios Nikolaos, offering a spectacular coastline, private beaches, archaeological sites and is also close to the rocky islet of Spinalonga.
The acclaimed actor admires the Aegean Sea and Greek culture and in previous visits to the country, he has explored the islands of Ithaca, Kefalonia and also owns a cottage in Andros, where he likes to unwind.
Even though Atkinson prefers to stay under the radar, Mr Bean’s presence never goes unnoticed when he reaches the Mediterranean.
