Heraklion: Seminar on Minoan Culture UNESCO at the Chamber

The Heraklion Chamber will hold a Seminar on “Minoan Culture UNESCO” on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the Kastellakis Hall (Heraklion Chamber, Koronaiou 9), with free admission.

The event is being held with the scientific cooperation of the Initiative Committee – Minoan Culture UNESCO and on the occasion of the inclusion of the six Minoan palaces in the UNESCO list.

“The November 19 event is an initiative with multiple goals. We want to highlight the importance of recognition by UNESCO, but above all to open a dialogue on how this achievement can be put into practice,” states the President of the Heraklion Chamber, Mr. Vangelis Karkanakis.

As he notes, the aim of the event is “to give tools to entrepreneurs, to inspire collaborations, to promote synergies between culture, tourism and entrepreneurship. Why not, even aim to transform this distinction into a factor of sustainable development for Crete. Through the promotion of the uniqueness of Minoan Culture, the initiative aims to strengthen the national and international dissemination of the event, creating a strong narrative that connects the ancient past with the dynamic future of the island,” emphasizes the President of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce.
