All outdoor theatrical performances suspended in Greece as of Thursday

Greek Deputy Minister for Civil Protection & Crisis Management Nikos Hardalias announced the suspension of all outdoor theatrical performances as of Thursday, September 24, while speaking at the regular Tuesday live briefing on the coronavirus pandemic’s course in the country, ANA reports.

The measure adds to others introduced as of this week, like teleworking and a further restriction in the number of people allowed per event, in an attempt to put a brake on the growing number of coronavirus cases and hospitalizations.

He also announced a new page on the governmental website (gov.gr) where citizens can be informed on the restrictive measures that concern their region.

Asked about a potential second lockdown, Hardalias noted that the aim is to avoid it, which is why “citizens need to fully observe the current measures,” he stressed.
