The National Theater, the National Opera and the Museum of Contemporary Art, and other cultural institutions in Athens will receive funding amounting to 10,350,000 euros, the Ministry of Culture announced on Thursday, to help them manage during the coronavirus pandemic, ANA reports.
The emergency funding will be distributed as follows: National Theater of Greece, 3 million euros; National Opera, 2.3 million; Athens Concert Hall (Megaro), 3.6 million; Athens State Orchestra, 400,000; National Gallery of Art, 350,000; Hellenic Museum of Contemporary Art, 500,000; and Greek Festival, 200,000 euros.
Another 4,260,000 euros will be distributed as emergency funding to cultural institutions of Thessaloniki, as announced on November 18.
