Cyprus’ Fire Service have extinguished a blaze that broke out in a building in Limassol at approximately 7:40am, after an explosion, an announcement said on Friday.
The fire occurred on Makarios Avenue in Limassol when an explosion went off on the first floor of a 6-story building.
The announcement said that six fire service trucks immediately arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze.
Extensive damages were noted on first and second floor of the building, the fire services noted.
The cause of the fire will be investigated jointly by police and the fire service, the announcement noted.
